ASR International Corporation is hiring an entry-level Jr. Accounting Specialist at our Hauppauge, NY headquarters. You will work with the accounting team to process invoices, payroll data, and financial reporting, with training offered to grow into the role.

The role requires a basic understanding of accounting principles and a willingness to learn ADP and QuickBooks, with attention to accuracy and detail in all tasks.

Formación

• Recent graduates encouraged.
• Entry-level position with training provided.
• 1–2 years of ADP software experience desirable.
• Knowledge of QuickBooks and other applications desirable.
• Working understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles.
• Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsabilidades

• Create and analyze financial reports and ensure compliance with legal requirements; process payables/receivables and manage invoices and tax payments.
• Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate reports.
• Prepare and submit invoices to clients and ensure proper accounting entries and timely bill payments.
• Assist in collecting employee timesheets and input them into payroll system.
• Prepare payroll information for outside payroll service.
• Prepare detailed journal entries and perform month-end reconciliations.
• Perform account reconciliations to ensure transaction accuracy.
• Reconcile payroll taxes, 401(k), and bank accounts monthly.
• Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account trends.
