Job summary

NACA is hiring a Junior Accountant to join the Accounting Department in Boston. The role focuses on accounts payable, payroll, and general ledger tasks within a nonprofit setting. You will help ensure accurate financial reporting and timely processing of payments for multiple sites.

The ideal candidate has a foundation in accounting, familiarity with nonprofit workflows, and the ability to manage high-volume processes. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Accounting skills and analytical ability for journal entries and reporting.
• Experience with nonprofit accounting is preferred.
• Accounts payable and multi-site bookkeeping experience beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Payable processing: post bills, prepare checks, and manage ACH payments.
• Maintain AP files and vendor records; assist with new vendor setup.
• Process credit card reconciliations and assist with monthly closes.
• Support payroll processing and time-card verification.
• Assist internal audit by providing requested documentation.
