Job summary

Carroll School in Massachusetts is seeking a Junior Accountant to join the Finance team. It is a full-time, on-site role focusing on accounts receivable, cash flow and accurate monthly reporting.

The position supports the controller with month-end closings, budgeting, and audits, while ensuring compliance with GAAP and school policies. The role requires 2+ years of accounting experience or a Bachelor’s in accounting, plus strong Excel and relational-database skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or 5+ years accounting experience with a HS diploma
• 2+ years accounting experience for degree holder
• Knowledge of fund accounting and GAAP (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts receivable processes for tuition and incidental charges
• Support month-end close and budget preparation with the Controller
• Assist with annual audits and financial reporting including 403b
• Maintain cash flow, reconcile accounts, and process deposits
