Randstad has partnered with a premier manufacturing and design company in Lexington, KY to recruit a detail-oriented Junior Accountant. This full-time role reports to the CFO and handles AR, AP, and office support to keep financial operations running smoothly.

You should have at least 3 years of accounting experience; no degree is required. The position offers a competitive salary, benefits, and standard 8am–5pm hours.

Responsibilities

• Process daily cash receipts and bank deposits.
• Generate and issue customer invoices; verify details against packing slips.
• Manage customer credit files and approved credits.
• Conduct daily collection calls to resolve payment discrepancies.
• Code and route vendor invoices for CFO approval.
• Prepare vendor payment checks and maintain AP files.
• Reconcile bank statements and track weekly banking activity.
• Maintain COI and insurance records; manage petty cash.
• Provide front-office support and assist with year-end filing.

Randstad has partnered with a premier manufacturing and design company to recruit a detail-oriented, versatile Junior Accountant to join their team in Lexington, KY. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), this full-cycle Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable role is ideal for an early-career accounting professional who thrives in a collaborative office environment and takes pride in keeping financial operations running seamlessly. This position is a full-time permanent opportunity offering a competitive salary and benefits package.
salary: $45,000 - $53,000 per year

Responsibilities

Accounts Receivable

• Process daily cash receipts, prepare bank deposits, fill out daily cash control sheets, and complete month-end bank reconciliations.
• Generate and issue customer invoices, verifying details against packing slips and bills of lading.
• Manage customer credit files, process credit applications, and issue approved credits or adjustments.
• Conduct daily collection calls and professional follow-ups to resolve payment discrepancies, chargebacks, and returns.

Accounts Payable

• Match, code (GL numbers), stamp, and route vendor invoices for CFO approval before entering data into the accounting system.
• Generate trial payment reports, run check runs, print/mail approved vendor checks, and maintain organized AP vendor files.
• Track daily banking activity (deposits, disbursements, borrowing base reports) and reconcile monthly credit card statements and employee expense reports.
• Maintain vehicle titles/insurance records, certificates of insurance (COI), and petty cash drawer reconciliations.

Office & Operations Support

• Serve as a front-office touchpoint: answer telephone switchboard calls, greet visitors, process incoming/outgoing mail, and manage postage meter usage.
• Inventory, order, and restock company office supplies.
• Assist the accounting team with year-end file archiving, posting period adjustments, and special projects.
