Addison Group seeks a Junior Accountant in Austin, TX to support day-to-day accounting operations and month-end close activities. The role targets candidates with a solid accounting foundation who want to grow in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has about 2 years of accounting experience, a Bachelor’s degree, and familiarity with NetSuite and Excel. This is an excellent opportunity to develop technical skills and contribute to accurate financial reporting.

Formación

• 2+ years of accounting experience required.
• Solid understanding of general accounting principles.
• Experience with journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables & VLOOKUPS).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
• Prepare and post journal entries
• Perform bank and general ledger reconciliations
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable as needed
• Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and supporting documentation
• Research and resolve account discrepancies
• Assist with accruals, prepaid expenses, and account analysis
• Support financial reporting and preparation of accounting schedules
• Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with company policies and accounting standards
• Assist with audit requests and other accounting projects as needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
• Prepare and post journal entries
• Perform bank and general ledger reconciliations
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable as needed
