Job summary

Addison Group is seeking a Junior Accountant to support day-to-day accounting tasks and month-end close in a contract-to-hire role. The position is based in North Austin, onsite, with a pay rate of $28-30/hr and opportunities to grow in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, about 2 years of accounting experience, and familiarity with NetSuite and Excel.

• NetSuite experience heavily preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare and post journal entries.
• Perform bank and general ledger reconciliations.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable as needed.
• Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and supporting documentation.
• Research and resolve account discrepancies.
• Assist with accruals and prepaid expenses.

Job Summary:

Role Overview:

We are seeking a Junior Accountant with approximately 2 years of accounting experience to support day-to-day accounting operations and month-end close activities. This role is ideal for someone with a solid accounting foundation who is looking to continue developing their skills in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes


• Prepare and post journal entries


• Perform bank and general ledger reconciliations


• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable as needed


• Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and supporting documentation


• Research and resolve account discrepancies


• Assist with accruals, prepaid expenses, and account analysis


• Support financial reporting and preparation of accounting schedules


• Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with company policies and accounting standards


• Assist with audit requests and other accounting projects as needed

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required


• Approximately 2+ years of accounting experience


• NetSuite experience heavily preferred


• Solid understanding of general accounting principles


• Experience with journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close


• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables & VLOOKUPS)


• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills


• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
