SALARY: The salary range for this position is $44,326.42 to $67,134.41 for Schedule A, and $44,326.42 to $60,100.37 for Schedule B. New hires typically start at the minimum of the range. Current employees promoted or promoted within the Judiciary receive a 5% increase of their base salary, not exceeding the maximum of the range. Employees hired before August 21, 2014, are Schedule A; those hired on or after are Schedule B.

NOTICE OF ADVANCEMENT AND LATERAL REASSIGNMENT:
Applicants should be aware that selected candidates may be reassigned to other counties (Somerset, Hunterdon, or Warren) if operational needs require. Additionally, if positions become available within five months of the recruitment closing date, the applicant pool may be used to fill these roles. Current Judiciary employees have advancement and lateral reassignment opportunities within the Somerset/Hunterdon/Warren Vicinage (Vicinage 13), which involves clerical, administrative, and support functions related to court proceedings and operations.
REMOTE WORK: The Judiciary offers a hybrid work schedule, allowing up to 2 days of remote work outside Judiciary buildings. Applicants must have high-speed internet and install a multifactor authentication app on their devices.

Qualifications:
Applicants must have at least one year of permanent service in specified titles, including Judiciary Clerk 2, Judiciary Clerk 2 Bilingual, Judiciary Account Clerk 1, or Judiciary Account Clerk 1 Bilingual for advancement, and Judiciary Account Clerk 2, Judiciary Account Clerk 2 Bilingual, Judiciary Clerk 3, or Judiciary Clerk 3 Bilingual for lateral reassignment.
Physical Ability: Must be able to perform work requiring climbing, standing, stretching, bending, reaching, and lifting supplies weighing 30-50 pounds frequently, up to 75 pounds occasionally.
Driver's License: Valid New Jersey driver’s license required if driving is necessary for duties.
Authorization to Work: US citizenship is not required; must be authorized to work in the US.
Background Check: Newly hired employees must consent to a fingerprint-based background check.
Residency Law: New hires within a year must establish and maintain residence in New Jersey, with possible exemptions for hardship or employer needs.
