Salary Range: $66,625.00-$106,427.00*

Position may be eligible for an annual bonus payment.

Position Summary
Exercises independent discretion or judgment in handling all types of catastrophe property claims. Also assists assigned field office when not on catastrophe deployment in handling day-to-day property claims.
Duties and Responsibilities
Establishes contact with policyholders regarding their loss, visits damage sites within the assigned territory, and possibly other locations.
Sets and manages reserves within authority.
Identifies and assesses damage, determines liability, and calculates claim value.
Prepares estimates, negotiates scope of work and costs with contractors or policyholders, and documents activities thoroughly.
Decides on payments, issues checks, and negotiates with attorneys when necessary.
Supervises independent adjusters and advises on claim handling.
Attends industry training to stay current with legal and regulatory developments.
Supports field offices when not on catastrophe deployment, bringing claims to resolution.
Maintains operational readiness of assigned company vehicle.

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; five years of claims handling experience, including two years in property claims; strong technical knowledge of damage repair and valuation techniques.
Preferred: Completion of AIC program, proficiency with estimating software (preferably Symbility), appropriate state license, valid driver's license, and residence within the assigned territory.
Physical Requirements
Includes lifting/moving up to 50 lbs, frequent driving, and other physical activities as detailed.
