Salary Range: $66,625.00-$106,427.00*

Position Summary
Exercises independent discretion or judgment in handling all types of catastrophe property claims. Also assists assigned field office when not on catastrophe deployment in handling day-to-day property claims.
Duties and Responsibilities
Establishes contact with Policyholders regarding their loss, driving to the site of damage within the assigned territory or as required.
Sets and manages reserves within designated authority.
Identifies and assesses damages, determines liability and total claim value.
Prepares estimates, obtains scope of work and repair costs with contractors or Policyholders.
Documents claim activities and submits final reports for closure.
Decides on payments, issues checks, and negotiates claims as necessary.
Supervises handling of property losses by independent adjusters when needed and advises on claim handling.
Attends industry training to stay current on legal developments and compliance.
Assists field offices when not on catastrophe duty to bring claims to conclusion.
Maintains operational readiness of attached company vehicles.

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required. Five years of claims handling experience, including two years of property claims, required. Knowledge of structural damage repair and valuation techniques required.
Associate in Claims (AIC) certification preferred. Proficiency with estimating software (preferably Symbility) preferred. Valid driver’s license and good driving record required. Must reside in the assigned territory unless approved otherwise. The role involves frequent travel, including short-notice deployments for extended periods.
