State of Maine Judicial Branch is seeking certified law enforcement officers to join as Deputy Judicial Marshals in Lincoln, ME. This full-time role involves safeguarding judges, staff, and the public while maintaining court security across daily sessions.

Ideal candidates will have Phase 1 pre-service training, the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders, and the prospect of certification as a Judicial Marshal.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of the Maine Criminal Justice Academy Pre-Service Law Enforcement Training required or sponsorable.
• Eligible for Judicial Marshal certification through Maine Criminal Justice Academy.

Responsibilities

• Provide security for judges, court staff and the public.
• Monitor courthouse security and operate screening equipment.
• Assist with courtroom paperwork, evidence movement, and court proceedings.
