Job summary

Walden Security is currently recruiting experienced Court Security Officers. CSOs will provide armed security to courthouses under the USMS contract.

Duties include entrance control, roving patrols, stationary posts, escorting judges and staff, court attendance, and enforcing federal law. Qualified candidates will have a GED, 3+ years as certified law enforcement or military equivalent, English proficiency, clean driving record, and ability to pass background and drug screening.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and speak English fluently.
• High school diploma or GED required with verifiable experience.
• Must have valid driver's license and clean driving record over past 5 years.
• Must have completed or graduated from certified Federal/state/local or military law enforcement training academy and provide certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform entrance control and screening of items.
• Roving patrol of court facilities and grounds.
• Stand stationary posts monitoring security devices and courtrooms.
• Provide armed escort duties for judges and court personnel.
• Direct traffic and pedestrian flow around court properties.
• Enforce federal law and court orders within the facility.
• Prepare reports on contract performance issues and incidents.
• Secure unattended courtrooms and inspect rooms prior to proceedings.
