Job summary

RMantra Solutions Inc. is seeking a Network Operations Specialist to execute real-time network operations across the MPLS and JRSS infrastructure, analyzing customer traffic and ensuring service continuity.

The role requires DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 certification, active DoD Secret clearance, and the ability to operate in a 24/7 environment. Experience with routers, switches, MPLS, and incident/change management is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 2-4 years of experience in network operations or similar.
• Active DoD Secret clearance required (must be in place).
• DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security+ CE, or equivalent) at start date.

Responsibilities

• Execute real-time network operations across the MPLS and JRSS infrastructure.
• Perform real-time customer failover to restore services during outages and maintenance.
• Proactively monitor network alarms and coordinate with customers to maximize availability.
• Conduct change management tasks including hardware replacement and software configurations.
• Document outages, degradations, and resolutions in incident management systems.
• Assess and identify resolutions using knowledge of routers, switches, MPLS, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and firewalls.

Primary Responsibilities

Execute network operations to include analysis of customer traffic across the MPLS and JRSS infrastructure

• Perform real-time customer failover to restore services during scheduled and unscheduled outages and maintenance actions.
• Work directly with supported customers and peers to ensure maximum network availability to minimize or eliminate mission and operational impact.
• Proactively monitor network alarms across platform specific network management tools.
• Perform a variety of change management tasks which include hardware replacement, software configurations, and ASI management.
• Utilize incident management applications to document all aspects of reported outages/degradations, isolations, escalations, and resolutions during the lifecycle of a service impacting network incident.
• Assess and identify resolutions to various network incidents and/or deficiencies leveraging knowledge in one or more of following: routers, switches, routing protocols, MPLS, VPN technologies, IDS/IPS, proxies, packet capture, network taps, load balancing, firewalls, out-of-band management. Basic Qualifications: * Must have DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security+ CE, or equivalent) at start date.
• High school and 2-4 years of experience.
• Ability to work in a 24/7 operation.
• Experience with one or more of the following: alarm surveillance, fault management, LAN maintenance, performance management.
• Expertise in one or more of the following: routers, switches, routing protocols, CISCO, Juniper, MPLS.
• General understanding of network topologies.
