Job summary

Fort Worth ISD is seeking a Junior Cadet Corps (JCC) Instructor to lead ACE middle school cadets and manage the JCC program in line with district standards. You will oversee curriculum integration of CHiSL, coordinate service-learning activities, and supervise events while promoting academic and character growth.

Responsibilities include teaching, planning, budgeting, coordinating with staff, recruiting cadets, and reporting outcomes.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelors degree required; Masters preferred; Completed Military Education for Grade.
• Certification/License: Valid Texas Teacher Certificate; Valid Texas Drivers License; Insurable by district.
• Experience: Retired Army/Navy/Marine/Air Force with 20+ years; Noncommissioned Officer with 10+ years (preferred); Troop level experience; Executive Staff experience.
• Additional Requirements: Excellent interpersonal, communication, and automation technology skills.

Responsibilities

• Teaches, assesses, evaluates, and documents student progress.
• Implements CHiSL curriculum and coordinates activities.
• Develops thematic units and projects; manages program budget.
• Oversees cadet leadership roles and supervises events.
• Communicates with students, parents, and staff; submits reports.
