LISD is seeking a JROTC instructor to provide learning experiences aligned with district and JROTC curriculum, ensuring student growth and safety.

The role requires a valid Texas teaching certificate, JROTC eligibility, and experience with instructional planning, assessment, and extracurricular sponsorship. Retired military personnel encouraged to apply; strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher or equivalent credential.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with endorsements or DOI requirements.
• Eligible to obtain JROTC certification from the U.S. military (Army).

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with district and JROTC curriculum.
• Plan/execute instructional strategies tailored to diverse learning styles.
• Assess student learning and adjust approaches accordingly.
• Collaborate with staff to set instructional goals and methods.
• Maintain professional conduct and comply with TEA, district policies and regulations.
• Lead and supervise extracurricular JROTC activities as assigned.
