Job summary

Rycon Construction in Pittsburgh is seeking an experienced Project Manager for our Special Projects Group. You will manage subcontract formation, develop schedules, and supervise cost reporting to deliver small- to mid-size commercial projects up to $5 million.

Candidate should have 3+ years in construction, strong communication, and the ability to coordinate complex projects from concept to completion. Travel to project sites may be required; competitive salary and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three+ years’ experience in construction of small to medium sized commercial projects up to $5 million.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Highly organized, detail directed problem solver.
• College degree preferred, but not required.
• Willingness to travel to out-of-town project sites.

Responsibilities

• Read documents and contracts; write subcontracts.
• Negotiate and award subcontracts; review subcontractors' scope of work.

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager for our Special Projects Group at our Pittsburgh office .

What You Will Do

Reading of documents and contracts. Writing Subcontracts. Negotiating and awarding subcontracts. Reviewing/preparing subcontractors scope of work. Develop and maintain schedules using Microsoft Project. Attend meetings and prepare minutes. Review/prepare change orders. Develop/track submittals, RFI’s and cost reports. Maintain owner relations. Maintain overall project budget / Cost Forecasting. What you will need to be successful: Minimum of three (3)+ years’ experience in construction of small to medium sized commercial construction projects up to $5 million in value. Excellent communication skills. Must have the ability to direct complex projects from concept to fully operational status. Computer Skills Required – Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Ability to create material take-off’s. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Should be highly organized, highly motivated and a detail directed problem solver. College degree preferred, but not required. Ability to periodically travel to out of town project jobsites.
