Job summary

Rycon Construction, an employee-owned ESOP, seeks an experienced Superintendent for our Louisville location. We specialize in multifamily construction projects nationwide, from new builds to renovations and interior fit-outs.

You will coordinate subcontractors, manage budgets, ensure safety, and drive schedules while maintaining high quality. This role requires strong Procore experience and mastery of trade disciplines to deliver on-time, on-budget projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum of ten (10) years of multifamily construction supervisory experience required.
• Experience does not need to be within the Louisville market; candidates with relevant multifamily experience from other markets will be considered.
• Procore experience required.
• Project values up to $5 million+ are desirable.
• Advanced knowledge of associated trades including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, drywall, finish trades, layout, etc.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, contracts, and specifications.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and enforcement of such.
• Experience scheduling work, materials, manpower, subcontractors, and equipment.
• Computer skills required, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with scheduling software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and communicate project schedules to plan upcoming activities and stay on target.
• Coordinates the daily activities for all subcontractors at any stage of construction; ensures work follows design, budget, and schedule.
• Manages construction budgets; tracks costs and submits invoices promptly.
• Prepares daily site logs detailing conditions, manpower, and activities.
• Ensures safety procedures and OSHA requirements are followed.
• Conducts pre-installation safety evaluations and action plans with contractors to ensure safe work.
• Ensures machinery and tools are available and in proper working order.
• Schedules and participates in inspections; organizes final inspections for completed work.
• Monitors daily construction procedures to ensure quality.
• Maintains daily communication with project management to inform about status and issues.
• Responds to onsite incidents and emergencies per procedures.

We are seeking a n experienced Superintendent based out of our Louisville office location.

Whatyou willdo:

• Prepare and communicate projectscheduleto plan upcoming activities and stay on target. Provides ongoing scheduling input to Project Management staff for all scheduling efforts.
• Coordinates the daily activities for all subcontractors at any stage of construction. Completes all project constructionin accordance withdesign,budgetand schedule.
• Manages construction budgets set by the Project Manager, tracking construction costs, andsubmittingall invoices toAccountingin a timely manner.
• Prepares daily log reports for the site conditions,manpowerand activities in sufficient detail.
• Ensuresall parties follow all safety procedures and practices according to both OSHA and company requirements.
• Conductspre-installation safety evaluations and action plans with contractors to ensure work actives are conducted in the safest manner possible.
• Ensuresappropriate machineryand tools are available to assigned constructionworkersand that hand tools and power tools are in proper working order.
• Schedules andparticipatesin necessary inspections required by local and state regulations. Organizes final inspections for completed work.
• Monitors daily construction proceduresto make surethat proper quality is achieved.
• Maintains consistent daily communication withproject managementstaff to ensure all parties are informed of current project status and potential issues affecting progress.
• Respond to onsite incidents and emergencies per companyprocedures.
