Job summary

Pedernales Electric Cooperative, Inc. is seeking a skilled apprentice/ journeyman lineworker to perform duties in the operation, maintenance, construction and repair of transmission and distribution systems.

The role requires working on overhead and underground lines, safety compliance, and active participation in training and call-out duties. The position supports construction standards and the efficient, safe restoration of power, with opportunities for career growth within a cooperative

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of DOL Journeyworker program.
• Valid Texas Class A CDL.
• Experience with electric power transmission and distribution is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Construct and maintain overhead and underground electric lines and equipment.
• Inspect existing primary and secondary power lines and substation equipment.
• Work on energized lines using rubber gloves and aerial devices.
• Lead job briefings and assist in training others.
• Participate in safety meetings and call-out duties.
• Manage construction project completion and coordinate with other departments.
