The position requires High School diploma, journeyman training, and a Texas CDL. It includes call-out duty, varied shifts, and adherence to PEC policies and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of DOL program requirements for Journeyworker.
• Valid Texas Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and Motor Vehicle Reports that comply with PEC policy.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties in operation, maintenance, construction and repair of transmission and distribution systems.
• Construct and maintain overhead and underground electric lines and equipment.
• Inspect existing power lines and substation equipment.
• Maintain and operate vehicles and equipment.
• Lead and/or monitor job briefings and tailboard meetings.
• Participate in emergency restoration and call-out duty.
• Maintain construction standards and acceptable specifications.
• Ensure safety regulations and training are followed.
