Hendrickson Transportation Group is seeking a Vehicle Maintenance Technician (Mechanic) for the CCRTA Maintenance Facility in Corpus Christi, TX. The role involves inspections and repairs of engines, electrical and hydraulic systems, air brakes, and suspension to keep the fleet in good condition.

Responsibilities include state safety inspections, component repairs, and assisting with major overhauls, with a focus on safe, compliant operations and accurate record-keeping.

Formación

• Associate degree or enrollment in an approved automotive/vehicle repair program.
• Minimum 2 years of related mechanical repairs experience.
• Must hold a valid Texas driver’s license and be able to obtain Class B CDL with endorsements; diesel and gasoline repair certs preferred.
• Must be eligible for DPS State Vehicle Inspector certification.
• Must be 18 years of age and capable to use own hand tools.

Responsabilidades

• Perform engine, transmission, and system inspections and repairs.
• Conduct Texas state safety inspections as required.
• Raise and move vehicles using jacks/hoists; follow safety procedures.
• Assist other technicians in major disassembly and repair work.
• Make road calls or tow vehicles; test-drive repaired vehicles safely.
• Diagnose defects and complete required maintenance records on time.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and comply with PPE rules.
• Do other duties as assigned.
