Overview

The District Mechanic will be responsible for Performing necessary repairs and maintenance work on company vehicles as directed. They will assist the Chief Mechanic in the accomplishments of their duties. Corpus Christi, TX.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and overhauls on heavy trucks, pickup trucks and cars. Plan work procedures using charts and technical manuals.
• Disassemble and inspect parts for wear. Repair or replace parts as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the processes and techniques used in major and minor mechanical and vehicle repair and maintenance.
• Knowledge of safety processes required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform average lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally up to 35 pounds.
• Agility and coordination for climbing, stooping, crouching, kneeling, and crawling under various conditions.
• Finger dexterity required with at least one hand involving reaching, handling and feeling.
