Three years of vehicle maintenance experience is preferred, with ability to diagnose via vehicle computer systems and interpret technical information.

Qualifikationen

• CDL with Passenger, School Bus and Air Brake endorsements must be obtained within 90 days after hire.
• Acceptable driving record as determined by DPS.
• Texas School Bus Driver certification required by DPS.
• Three years of documented successful experience in vehicle maintenance; school bus preferred.

Aufgaben

• Maintain required equipment, tools, and related items and ensure accountability, serviceable and operational status.
• Troubleshoot a wide variety of mechanical problems across vehicles and engines.
• Repair a wide variety of vehicles in a timely manner with minimal supervision.
• Perform preventive maintenance and recognize shortfalls.
• Maintain a clean, safe working area and follow safe operating procedures.
• Assist in developing standard Operating Policies and Procedures for maintenance areas.
• Advise the Shift Supervisor on maintenance or safety hazards.
• Maintain inventory of issued tools and up-to-date maintenance records.
• Acquire and maintain ASE status and CDL credentials.
• Drive school bus routes as needed.
