Job summary

Ed Napleton Auto Group's Napleton's Valley Hyundai in Illinois is seeking a Journeyman Technician to service over 100 cars daily. You will diagnose and repair vehicles to dealer and factory standards, helping build customer loyalty through trustworthy, capable service.

This opportunity offers pay starting at $45.15 per hour, incentive-based pay, comprehensive training, and manufacturer certifications, plus medical, dental, vision, 401k, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Journeyman Technician
• Ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is process-driven
• Willingness to undergo a background check in accordance with local law/regulations
• 18+ years of age or older to comply with the company driving policy

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications - brake and hydraulic, exhaust, primary and/or advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning and computer systems.
• Adequate explain technical diagnosis and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include employees and customers as required.
• Continuously update technical skills and techniques in formal training sessions to stay abreast with rapidly changing automotive technology.
• Keep store management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur.
• Maintains an organized and neat service bay
