Job summary

Napleton Automotive Group in Elmhurst is seeking a Journeyman Technician to diagnose and repair vehicles to factory standards. This role focuses on building trust with customers through reliable diagnosis and service.

The successful candidate will repair diverse systems including brakes, hydraulic, electrical, suspension, air conditioning and engine management, while maintaining a clean, organized work bay and pursuing ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Journeyman Technician.
• Willingness to be a self-starter and process-driven.
• Willingness to undergo a background check as required by law.
• 18+ years of age or older to comply with driving policy.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications - brakes, hydraulics, exhaust, electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning and computer systems.
• Explain technical diagnosis and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals as required.
• Continuously update technical skills in formal training sessions to stay current with automotive technology.
• Keep store management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur.
• Maintain an organized and neat service bay.
