Job summary

Napleton's Elmhurst Acura/KIA is seeking a Journeyman Technician to diagnose and repair vehicles to factory standards in a fast-paced setting. You will build customer trust through accurate diagnostics and repairs, with opportunities for professional growth.

The role includes continual training, access to certifications, and a compensation plan featuring incentives and a potential hourly range based on experience. This is a full-time, on-site position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Journeyman Technician.
• Self-starter with a process-driven mindset.
• Willingness to undergo a background check in accordance with local law/regulations.
• 18+ years of age or older to comply with company driving policy.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications - brake and hydraulic, exhaust, primary and/or advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning and computer systems.
• Explain technical diagnosis and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals as required.
• Continuously update technical skills in formal training sessions to stay abreast of automotive technology.
• Keep store management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur.
• Maintain an organized and neat service bay.

Located at Napleton's Elmhurst Acura/KIA, the Journeyman Technician is responsible for vehicle repair and maintenance as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards. This position will build Customer loyalty by developing trust and ensuring confidence in Napleton through effective vehicle diagnosis and repair.
