Job summary

Napleton's Elmhurst Acura/KIA is seeking an Automotive Service Technician to diagnose and repair vehicles, ensuring high-quality standards and customer satisfaction. You will liaise with Parts and Service Advisors, explain repairs clearly to customers, and stay current with factory bulletins and training.

Qualification includes prior automotive service experience, excellent customer service and communication skills, a valid driver’s license, and a willingness to undergo background checks in

• Stay updated with factory technical bulletins and training.
• Maintain an organized work area and report repair issues to management.

Located at Napleton's Elmhurst Acura/KIA, the Automotive Service Technician will be responsible for vehicle repair and maintenance as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards. This position will build Customer loyalty by developing trust and ensuring confidence in Napleton through effectively diagnosing vehicles.

Job Responsibilities:

• Performing vehicle repair and/or maintenance work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards to drive Customer loyalty.


• Communicating with Parts Department and Service Advisors regularly to effectively manage production and Customer communication.


• Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction and perform repair.


• Adequately explains technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include employees and customers


• Keeping abreast of factory technical bulletins and participating in factory-sponsored training classes as appropriate


• Keeps store management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur


• Maintains an organized work area

Job Requirements:

• Automotive Service Technician experience


• ASE certification desirable


• Excellent customer service


• Strong communication skills


• Valid Driver’s License


• Willingness to undergo a background check in accordance with local law/regulations


• 18+ years of age or older to comply with the company driving policy
