Job summary

Jgpete in Chehalis, WA is seeking an experienced automotive technician to diagnose and repair a wide range of mechanical and electrical issues. You will perform routine maintenance, complete warranty repairs, document all work, and stay current with technology through training.

The role requires a high school diploma, 5 years of hands-on experience, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a shop environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience as a technician (automotive, diesel, or heavy equipment preferred).
• Proven ability to diagnose and repair a broad range of mechanical issues.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and service software.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to use digital repair documentation.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Accurately diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on a wide range of vehicles or equipment
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance services
• Complete warranty repairs in accordance with manufacturer and company guidelines
• Document all work performed clearly and accurately
• Stay current with new technology by attending manufacturer training and reviewing technical service bulletins
• Ensure working area is clean, safe, and organized at all times
• Adhere strictly to safety procedures and company policies
• Collaborate with service advisors, parts personnel, and other team members to ensure timely repairs
• Take part in ongoing training and development programs
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or management
