Jay Hatfield Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Frontenac, KS is seeking an Experienced Service Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate has a strong automotive service background and hands-on experience diagnosing repairs and working on engine, transmission, and electrical systems.

You will perform work on repair orders, test-drive vehicles, and communicate with the Service Advisor about necessary services and time estimates.

Qualifications

• Specific automotive certifications are ideal.
• Must have own tools.
• Strong automotive background and knowledge of engines and transmissions.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair work on the repair order with efficiency.
• Test-drive vehicles and diagnose components using diagnostic tools.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, A/C.
• Communicate with the Service Advisor about additional needed services and time estimates.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
• Prepare to obtain additional certification as needed.
• Willing to learn with hands-on training.
• Keep repair shop clean and professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
• Prepare to get additional certification as needed.
• Willingness to learn with hands-on training.
• Help keep repair shop clean and organized.
• Keep a professional appearance

• Heavy line mechanic with knowledge of engines and transmissions
• Must have valid driver's license
• Willing to submit to a drug screen (THC is not tested for pre-employment)
