Jim Glover Chevrolet in Tulsa, OK is seeking Fleet Technicians to maintain, inspect, and repair vehicles in the service bay. You will use diagnostic tools and work with service advisors to inform customers of needed repairs.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and strong customer service skills. ASE certifications are encouraged but not required; growth opportunities exist within a family-owned dealership.

Job Summary

We are currently seeking dedicated and qualified Fleet Technicians to join our team! An Automotive Technician, often called service tech, will maintain, inspect, and repair vehicles within the service bay. Provide accurate information to the service manager and service advisors, concerning vehicles that are processed through the company for business purposes.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership policies and procedures
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are well-informed of any additional services needed
• Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Service Technician experience required
• ASE Certification preferred not required
• A-level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair
• Broad knowledge of new vehicle technologies
