Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services seeks an experienced welder to certify multi-process pipe welding and fabricate components per blueprints and metallurgy. The role involves laying out, aligning, and welding piping systems, tanks, and structural parts, with opportunities in various positions and preheat/cleaning duties.

Applicants should be proficient in SMAW, GTAW and GMAW, and may require x-ray quality certifications.

Qualifications

• Proficient in SMAW, GTAW and GMAW welding processes.
• Ability to read blueprints and metallurgy specifications.
• May require certification or x-ray qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, align and weld fabrications per drawings.
• Select pipe sizes and materials per specs; plan layouts and welding.
• Weld in various positions (flat, horizontal, vertical, overhead) and inspect beads.
• Operate welding equipment, set amperage/voltage, and feed filler metal as required.
• Perform prep work, cleaning, and material handling; assist other mechanics as needed.
