Job summary

MasTec's Industrial group is seeking a Welder to join a multi-craft team on heavy industrial construction projects. This full-time role requires travel up to 90% and is based on site with typical 50-hour weeks, often up to 12 hours per shift, in Rapid City, SD and other project sites.

You will read project plans and weld symbols, perform GTAW/SMAW/FACW/GMAW as required, follow WPS, and maintain safety standards while coordinating with foremen and pipefitters on multi-task assignments.

Qualifications

• 4+ years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Knowledge of MIC Health and Safety programs and site regulations.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret project plans, blueprints, weld symbols and diagrams to perform tasks.
• Perform GTAW, SMAW, FACW, GMAW welds as project requires.
• Field install welds on structural components and pipe as instructed by supervision.
• Follow Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) during tasks.
