Job summary

MasTec Industrial is seeking an experienced Welder to join our team. You will join diverse metal components using multiple welding processes and ensure adherence to site safety requirements. A welding test is required to verify skills and compliance before assignment.

The role requires reading blueprints, performing welds across structural and ductwork, and collaborating with electricians, ironworkers, and pipefitters. Expect up to 50 hours per week and up to 90% travel to project sites.

Qualifications

• 4+ years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• WELD TEST WILL BE REQUIRED
• Knowledge of MIC Health and Safety programs and site regulations
• Active toolbox meetings with crews and subcontractors on-site
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules and welding procedures

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret project plans, blueprints, weld symbols and diagrams.
• Perform GTAW, SMAW, FACW, GMAW welds as required by project needs.
• Field install welds including structural; duct work; attachments for electricians, ironworkers, and pipefitters.
• Prepare welding surfaces per welding procedures to achieve proper joint detail.
• Coordinate with pipe fitters and other crafts to complete tasks safely.
