Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a capable Power Construction Equipment Operator in Fort Worth, TX. You will operate vehicles and heavy equipment to excavate, move, and grade materials, support road maintenance on rights-of-way, and assist in trenching for pipes.

Expect to load materials, inspect equipment, and maintain fluid levels and lubrication. You should have a high school diploma or GED and the ability to follow written and oral instructions, communicate effectively with supervision, and use hand tools

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED and relevant field experience.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with supervision.
• Ability to operate hand tools, power tools safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of heavy equipment and vehicles to excavate, load, haul, and grade materials.
• Load gravel, dirt, and sand; smooth and grade roads; spread rock and gravel.
• Trench and construct ditches for installation of pipes; remove silt and debris.
• Inspect equipment and maintain fluid levels and lubrication.
• May train and instruct employees in safe operation of equipment and job techniques.
• Inspect structures, equipment, or materials to identify issues.
