Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate various heavy equipment to maintain and repair roads and rights-of-way.
• Load materials (gravel, dirt, sand) and smooth, grade, and spread rock and gravel.
• Trench and construct ditches for culverts, water pipes, and sewer pipes; remove silt and debris.
• Maintain fluid levels and lubrication; inspect equipment and identify defects.
• May train staff in safe operation of equipment and job techniques.
• Ensure safety and project rules are followed; perform other duties as needed.
