Job summary

The Lansing Board of Water & Light is seeking a skilled Lineworker to install and maintain overhead and URD distribution lines in the Lansing area. The role requires climbing poles, operating bucket trucks, and following safety protocols; a journey-line status and CDL are essential.

You will perform hands-on tasks with transformers, switches, and other equipment, with several safety trainings and comprehensive benefits, competitive wages, and ample time off.

Qualifications

• Must be Journey Line Worker as indicated by completion of apprenticeship program or equivalent.
• Must have 2 or more years Journey line experience, with a certificate of journey lineman status preferred.
• Candidates must possess a valid MI CDL with required endorsements or pass DOT requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment for installation and maintenance of overhead and URD lines.
• Climb and work from poles and steel platforms, using safety gear.
• Follow safety manual and participate in required safety training.
