Job summary

Entergy seeks an Apprentice 4th Year - Journeyman Lineman in Malvern, Arkansas. The role focuses on constructing, building, and maintaining OH/UG electric facilities up to 15 kV, with on-site duties and potential travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities include installation and maintenance of primary line facilities, transformers, regulators, capacitors, and reclosers, along with pole setting, safety, and on-call duties as required.

Qualifications

• Must live within 20 miles of work location.
• Ability to work irregular hours and on-call as required.
• Must pass pre-employment Fitness for Duty exam.
• Must maintain a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
• Ability to climb and work at heights; operate equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Installation, removal and maintenance of OH/UG primary line facilities and secondary services.
• Installation of OH/UG transformers and wiring of all transformer banks.
• Wiring of regulators, capacitors, and reclosers.
• Driving of different sizes and types of trucks.
• Operation of Aerial Bucket and Digger Derrick Trucks.
• Read and understand job prints and sketches.
• Recognize material(s) and their function.
• Setting and climbing of all sizes of poles in open areas and energized lines.
