Job summary

Entergy Arkansas, LLC is seeking an Apprentice Lineman to construct, build and maintain OH/UG electric facilities up to 15 kV in the Little Rock area. You will work onsite within a Field & Skilled Trade environment, following safety protocols and team directions.

The role requires completing an accredited lineworker training program or documented linework experience across three apprentice years, with on-call duties and ability to work extended hours in varying conditions.

Qualifications

Must live within 20 miles of the work location.
Ability to use physical strength to perform tasks in all weather conditions.
Ability to work irregular hours and out-of-town assignments as required.
Ability to take and understand directives with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

Install, remove and maintain OH/UG primary line facilities and secondary services.
Install OH/UG transformers and wire all types of transformer banks.
Install, including wiring regulators, capacitors, and reclosers.
Drive different sizes and types of trucks.
Operate equipment including Aerial Bucket and Digger Derrick Trucks.
Read and understand job prints and sketches.
Recognize materials and their function.
Set and climb poles in open areas, rear alleys and energized lines.
Be available for on-call duty and emergency response.
