Job summary

Entergy is seeking a Journeyman Lineman to support its Arkansas service area from Little Rock with onsite work. The role requires a Journeyman Lineman background, strong knowledge of electrical distribution, and the ability to perform high voltage equipment tasks in a safe manner.

Candidates must be able to work rotating shifts including days, evenings, and weekends. This is a full-time, onsite position with potential supervisory responsibilities and relocation not offered.

Qualifications

• Must have at least one year of journeyman lineman experience or equivalent.
• Knowledge of safety rules and first aid.
• Obtain/Maintain a valid Class A CDL.
• Know city streets, and roads in rural sections.
• Read and understand wiring diagrams and blueprints for distribution systems.

Responsibilities

• Trace and clear grounds and opens on series circuits.
• Test, switch, and inspect automatic voltage regulating devices.
• Perform routine checks and tests on relays and automatic reclosing equipment.
• Inspect substation network protectors, transformers, and regulators.
• Conduct voltage, load, substation, and ground tests.
• Read wiring diagrams and blueprints related to the distribution system.
• Potentially act in a supervisory capacity when authorized.
