Job summary

Entergy Arkansas, LLC is seeking Apprentice 1st Year to 3rd Year lineworkers to construct, build and maintain OH/UG facilities up to 15KV in Arkansas. The role requires physical endurance, the ability to work in all weather, and readiness for on-call emergencies. Travel up to 25% and strict safety standards apply.

The position offers onsite work with stringent qualification progression from Apprentice 1st Year through Apprentice 3rd Year, including hands-on linework experience and CDL compliance.

Qualifications

• Must live within 20 miles of work location.
• Ability to use physical strength to perform required tasks in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work irregular hours and out of town assignments as required.
• Ability to take and understand directives and complete tasks with limited supervision.
• Completion of an accredited Lineworker Training program or prior demonstrated linework experience.

Responsibilities

• Installation, removal and maintenance of OH/UG primary line facilities and secondary services.
• Installation of OH/UG transformers and wiring of transformer banks.
• Installation, including wiring of regulators, capacitors, and reclosers.
• Driving of different sizes and types of trucks.
• Operation of various equipment, including Aerial Bucket and Digger Derrick Trucks.
• Read and understand job prints and sketches.
• Setting and climbing of poles in open areas, rear alleys and energized lines.
• Be available for on call duty and emergency response.
