Job summary

Mortenson is seeking a Laborer Journeyman responsible for preparing, handling, and supplying materials for use by other trades. The role includes loading, unloading, scaffolding, leveling, tending mortar, moving materials, and maintaining debris-free work sites.

You will guide Laborer I/II and Apprentices and collaborate with diverse teams on site. Ideal candidates have a two-year apprenticeship and construction experience, with proficiency in power tools, vibrators, pumps, drills, and heavy

Qualifications

• Completion of a two-year apprenticeship program.
• Construction experience preferred.
• Ability to operate tools and equipment listed.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload equipment.
• Erect and dismantle scaffolding (5X7X16) and staging.
• Level ground for scaffolding.
• Tend mortar and grout.
• Lift, unload, move, set, and shovel mortar and grout between wheelbarrows and buckets.
• General cleanup and debris removal, including sweeping, washing, unloading or burning debris.
• Place, push, pull, and shovel concrete.
• Vibrate concrete.
• Provide work direction to Laborer I, II, Helpers, and Apprentice.
• Build positive relationships across diverse backgrounds.
