Job summary
Mortenson is seeking a Laborer I to support construction projects by preparing, handling, and supplying materials for other crafts. The role involves loading and unloading equipment, erecting scaffolding, leveling ground, and tending mortar and grout to ensure smooth workflow on site.
The ideal candidate will have completed a two-year apprenticeship, experience in construction, and the ability to operate a range of tools safely.
Qualifications
- Must have completed a two year apprenticeship.
- Experience in construction preferred.
- Ability to operate power and non-powered hand tools and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload equipment.
- Erect and dismantle scaffolding and staging.
- Level ground for scaffolding.
- Tend mortar and grout.
- Move mortar and grout between wheelbarrows and buckets.
- Clean up debris and unload materials.
- Place, push, pull, and shovel concrete.
- Vibrate concrete.
- Collaborate with diverse teams.
- Other duties as assigned.
