Job summary

Johnson Controls Federal Systems seeks an HVAC Journeyman Mechanic to support Fort Devens, MA, performing maintenance, diagnostics and service on commercial/industrial HVAC equipment with focus on reliability and efficiency. Union role with day shift and full benefits.

Position requires 5+ years of HVAC experience, valid driver’s license, and ability to obtain DoD clearance. On-site work at Fort Devens, with company vehicle and tools provided.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial/industrial HVAC mechanical troubleshooting and service experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance (Secret/Top Secret preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, service, inspection, diagnostic, repair and preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve HVAC mechanical problems.
• Respond to service and warranty calls.
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical systems with a variety of tools.
• Perform preventive maintenance including belt adjustments, oiling, greasing and cleaning.
• Collect and deliver samples for analysis where required.
