Job summary

Johnson Controls Federal Systems (JCFS) is seeking a Foreman (Union) to support the Fort Devens, MA military base. The role leads a team of field mechanics, interacts with customers, and helps quote and schedule projects focused on HVAC and controls.

Requirements include 5+ years in HVAC troubleshooting, a valid driver's license, and strong communication. Security clearance eligibility is required; DoD clearance is preferred. This is a bargaining unit position with union benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial and/or industrial HVAC mechanical troubleshooting and service experience.
• Valid driver's license
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Computer literate and tech savvy and have the ability to develop, close and manage all types of quoted work
• The ability to obtain and maintain required government clearance and any other worksite specific badges (DoD clearance preferred)

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of technical field mechanics.
• Interacts with customers, helps develop technicians, assists with quoting jobs.
• Assists with project scheduling and promoting a culture of safety.
• Troubleshoots and resolves HVAC mechanical problems, plus some electrical/controls issues.
• Inspect, diagnose, service and repair mechanical systems using various tools.
• Perform preventive maintenance and belt adjustments, oiling, greasing and cleaning of equipment.
