Job summary

Johnson Controls Inc. is seeking HVAC Mechanics to support light commercial and commercial systems across North America. The role emphasizes hands-on maintenance, repair, and service of boilers, chillers, pumps, and related equipment.

The ideal candidate will have extensive HVAC troubleshooting experience, EPA refrigerants licensing, and be willing to travel up to 20% for branch work. This is a bargaining unit position with benefits through the local union.

Qualifications

• Minimum of eight (8) years commercial/industrial HVAC troubleshooting experience.
• Universal EPA refrigerants license, applicable state or local licensing, and valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to travel 10%–20% to support branch activities and field service.

Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance, repair and replacement services on commercial HVACR systems.
• Offer quotes and recommendations to optimize facility efficiency during commissioning and aftersales service.
• Partner with Journeymen and Servicemen to train apprentices and transfer knowledge.
