Job summary

Johnson Controls Inc. is seeking skilled HVAC mechanics to support commercial HVAC service for North America. You will perform maintenance, repair and installation on commercial heating and cooling systems, with travel to customer sites.

The role includes safety-required training, on-the-job coaching, and opportunities for advancement. The position is a bargaining unit role with hourly pay based on the collective bargaining agreement, and includes a company vehicle, tools, and uniforms.

Qualifications

• Eight (8) years of commercial and/or industrial mechanical troubleshooting experience in HVAC and related environments.
• Experience with rooftop units, pumps, fans, boilers, chillers, compressors, plumbing.
• Ability to repair centrifugal compressors, steam turbines, screw chillers and ammonia/hydrocarbon system components.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repair and replacement on commercial heating and cooling systems.
• Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.
• Prepare on-site service, diagnose issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Travel 10%–20% to support branch customers and installations.
• Invest in career development through training programs and on-the-job coaching.
