Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle, Inc. is seeking an HVAC Technician for NAS Jacksonville (BUMED-Mayport). The role focuses on installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC/refrigeration systems to ensure safe, efficient building operations across facilities.

The position requires a Journeyman license, EPA certification, and union membership or willingness to join within 90 days. On-site in Jacksonville with first shift hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of two years of HVAC repair and maintenance experience.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Journeyman HVAC Mechanic License – Duval County.
• Universal EPA Certification (40 CFR Part 82, Subpart F).
• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and HVAC testing equipment.
• Working knowledge of refrigeration systems, electrical controls, piping, and ventilation systems.
• Must be a member of the applicable union Local 177 / IBEW or be willing and able to join within 90 days of employment as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems in commercial and industrial facilities.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on compressors, condensers, evaporators, ductwork, piping, motors, and ventilation systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering specifications, and technical diagrams to complete HVAC installations and repairs.
• Fabricate, assemble, and install ductwork, tubing, piping, and related HVAC components using hand and power tools.
• Diagnose and replace defective electrical components including thermostats, switches, breakers, fuses, wiring, and control systems.
• Monitor system performance using gauges and testing equipment to identify leaks.
