Job summary

PRT Staffing is seeking a Journeyman Low Voltage Electrician for a data center project in Santa Teresa, NM. The role offers $65 per hour with $150 per diem for each day worked and overtime, on a long-term, full-time basis.

You will lead low-voltage and telecommunications installations, read drawings, coordinate daily activities, and ensure safety and quality. Multiple openings exist for licensed technicians on a large-scale project.

Qualifications

• Active journeyman electrician license.
• Experience in electrical, low-voltage, telecommunications, or commercial construction environments.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings and installation instructions.
• Ability to work effectively with construction crews and other trades.
• Strong understanding of jobsite safety and quality standards.
• Ability to work assigned shifts and overtime as required.
• Ability to pass required background screening, drug testing, and site onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support low-voltage and telecommunications infrastructure installations within a data center construction environment.
• Work with crews installing fiber optic and copper cabling systems.
• Assist with the installation of cable pathways, racks, cabinets, patch panels, and associated infrastructure.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and installation specifications.
• Coordinate daily installation activities and support project schedules.
• Ensure installations meet project specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.
• Assist with troubleshooting and resolving installation issues.
• Work alongside fiber optic specialists and other trades to support project completion.
• Maintain daily progress reports and installation documentation as required.
