Job summary

PRT Staffing is seeking a Journeyman Low Voltage Electrician for a Santa Teresa, NM data center project. This long-term, full-time position offers $65/hour with per diem and overtime potential on a large-scale data center build.

You will lead low-voltage and telecommunications installations, read plans, coordinate daily tasks, and ensure safety and quality standards are met. Training and onboarding are required for site access.

Qualifications

• Active journeyman electrician license required.
• Experience in electrical, low-voltage, telecom, or commercial construction environments.
• Ability to read construction drawings and installation instructions.
• Commitment to safety, quality standards, and on-site teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support low-voltage and telecommunications infrastructure installations within a data center construction environment.
• Work with crews installing fiber optic and copper cabling systems.
• Assist with the installation of cable pathways, racks, cabinets, patch panels, and associated infrastructure.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and installation specifications.
• Coordinate daily installation activities and support project schedules.
• Ensure installations meet project specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.
• Assist with troubleshooting and resolving installation issues.
• Work alongside fiber optic specialists and other trades to support project completion.
• Maintain daily progress reports and installation documentation as required.

Location: Santa Teresa, NM 88008

PAY & PROJECT DETAILS

• $65 per hour
• $150 daily per diem for each day worked
• Overtime available

WHAT YOU'LL DO

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong understanding of jobsite safety and quality standards.
