Job summary

PRT Staffing seeks a Journeyman Low Voltage Electrician to support a data center installation in the Santa Teresa, NM area. You will lead and assist with low-voltage and telecommunications infrastructure, read blueprints, install cabling, racks, patch panels, and coordinate daily progress with the crew.

Qualifications include an active journeyman electrician license and experience in electrical or telecom construction, with flexibility for overtime.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and installation specs.
• Coordinate daily installation activities and support project schedules.
• Ensure installations meet project specs, safety standards and quality requirements.
• Assist with troubleshooting installation issues.
• Collaborate with fiber optic specialists and other trades to support completion.
• Maintain daily progress reports and installation documentation.

Journeyman Low Voltage Electrician – Data Center

Location: Santa Teresa, NM 88008

PAY & PROJECT DETAILS

• $65 per hour
• $150 daily per diem for each day worked
• Overtime available
• Large-scale, mission-critical data center project

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Lead and support low-voltage and telecommunications infrastructure installations within a data center construction environment.
• Work with crews installing fiber optic and copper cabling systems.
• Assist with the installation of cable pathways, racks, cabinets, patch panels, and associated infrastructure.
• Read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and installation specifications.
• Coordinate daily installation activities and support project schedules.
• Ensure installations meet project specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.
• Assist with troubleshooting and resolving installation issues.
• Work alongside fiber optic specialists and other trades to support project completion.
• Maintain daily progress reports and installation documentation as required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Active qualifying journeyman electrician license.
• Experience working in electrical, low-voltage, telecommunications, or commercial construction environments.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings and installation instructions.
• Ability to work effectively with construction crews and other trades.
• Strong understanding of jobsite safety and quality standards.
• Ability to work assigned shifts and overtime as required.
• Ability to pass required background screening, drug testing, and site onboarding.
