Job summary

Amteck is seeking a Journeyman Electrician 1 to join our field teams. You will install, modify and repair electrical systems under a Foreman or Superintendent, including leading small crews and mentoring Helpers and Apprentices.

The role offers growth into other divisions such as low voltage, controls, and fire alarm. Candidates should have 5–7 years of commercial/industrial electrical experience, own tools, and a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial settings.
• Demonstrate safety-conscious work practices in daily tasks.
• Willingness to work weekends and overtime when required.
• Ability to learn job-related material via instruction and observation.
• Team-oriented with ability to listen and cooperate with others.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to read basic construction documents.
• Willingness to participate in field training (OJT, classroom, or virtual).

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install electrical conduit using measuring devices and hand tools.
• Install and terminate electrical devices, fixtures, panel boards, and feeders.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of circuiting and read project specs.
• Read blueprints and schematics to lay out work from documents.
• Determine wire, conduit, and junction box sizing.
• Troubleshoot lighting and general power circuits.
• Lead and mentor Helpers and Apprentices on the job site.
