Job summary

Amteck is seeking a Journeyman Electrician 1 to work under a Foreman or Superintendent, potentially overseeing a small crew of Helpers or Apprentices. The role involves installation, alteration, and repair of electrical systems, and growth opportunities across divisions such as low voltage, controls, and fire alarm.

Responsibilities include conduit installation, device terminations, reading blueprints, and mentoring junior staff while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of electrical construction experience in commercial/industrial environments.
• Ability to read and interpret project specs, blueprints and schematics.
• Demonstrated teamwork and mentoring abilities on job sites.
• Willingness to learn and grow across divisions and skill sets.

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install electrical conduit and devices.
• Install and terminate fixtures, panels, and conductors; demonstrate circuiting knowledge.
• Read project documents and lay out work from drawings, including underground layout.
• Lead and mentor Helpers and Apprentices on site; ensure safety and teamwork.
